Chapter 20

As we're walking through the forest, an arrow landed in front of us. The wild elf told us that it was shot by his friends. We then called out that we came in peace but they didn't buy it. They kept shooting arrow around us hinting us to leave. The wild elf then climbed up a tree and disappeared on sight. Some of us dropped our weapons to show sign that we're harmless. After a while, Quanta threatened them that he'll burn the forest down if they don't show themselves and the wild elves weren't happy with that. They triggered a trunk trap which killed Quanta. Drok them how could they do that!

Clouded by my rage, I felt like slaughtering each and every of them. We came to help and this is what we get? This is how we get paid for showing kindness? I hid the anger on my face then dropped my crossbow and try to persuade them hoping that they'll reveal themselves so I could take revenge for Quanta. After trying for a while, I finally calmed down and realized it was actually Quanta's fault... How could they still trust people when their community was slaughtered in a day? Why would they not kill someone who threatens to burn their home?

The wild elves finally told us to drop our weapons. We did so and they revealed themselves and collected our weapons and kept it in a sack. After a long conversation, they bought us to visit their burnt village and demanded us to help destroy Ossington. We told him that the villagers took the small animals to transform them into humans and whoever is using that spell is said to be misusing it. They then focused their attention to Dyson, Cuckoo, Tully and Henwen. We have no idea who to trust... Seeing that the wild elves' village got burnt and only 3 of them are left... Their story seemed more... trust-able? We then agreed to their plan to kill Dyson, Cuckoo, Tully and Henwen.

After resting in the forest, we returned to Ossington with the wild elves. The wild elves made sure they were hidden out of sight of the villagers. Faeron's suggestion of putting up an angry and disappointed face while carrying Quanta's dead body on a stretcher managed to trick Cuckoo. He believed that we were defeated by the wild elves and retreated. Faeron demanded Cuckoo to gather the Tully, Hanwen and Dyson at Dyson's tower to discuss a plan to avenge Quanta. Cuckoo agreed and we brought Quanta's dead body back to our temporarily house.

We approached the tower with uneasiness. How are we going to execute the plan? Who should we aim first? We entered the tower told them about our encounters. Apparently, Cuckoo already told them the story. After some consideration, Cuckoo and Hanwen doesn't seem harmful, Tully may be a swordman but we can slowly take her down but Dyson, a magician can cast a lot of dangerous large area spells. So I set my priority on Dyson. I approached him and asked him about a spell that can maintain Quanta's decaying body. While he's flipping through the book, I tried to pin him down but my hand slipped away from his shoulder and hence I failed miserably, luckily he believed that I was just brushing off something on his shoulder. Rohan saw my failed act and rushed quickly to Dyson and grabbed him! Let's hope things work out!

Chapter 19

We went to find Hanwen to ask about the horseman with Zaradin symbol but all we got from her was that the little pet on her shoulder was called Hobyah. What a disappointment! We then rode to the forest west to Ossington in hope that we'll find the elves who massacred the villagers.

Slightly before sunset, Faeron discovered a dryad tree that was killed by girdling the bark around it. Ryotine decided to stay to see whoever did this and the rest of the party wanted to rest at Ossington. I felt insecured for Ryotine and offered to stay to help her. She transformed to a tree and I hid on a tree while the rest of the party went back to Ossington. That was a night that I couldn't forget...

During midnight, a small and cute monkey-like animal approached me. It was a Hobyah, the animal that Hanwen kept as a pet. I shooed it away from me but more of them came back and started attacking me. Ryotine came to help and we found out that their skin is as hard as steel! Not only that, these little monsters can even transform to a eerie and bigger sized monkey. We found it impossible to defend ourselves and we ran for it. We reached Ossington and told the others about our encounters.

The next morning we went to the chapel to ask Hanwen about the hobyahs who attacked us. Instead of finding Hanwen, we found our horses dead and torn apart. There were evidence of small bites all over their bodies. We returned to Ossington to ask Dyson about her whereabouts. We followed and direction Dyson gave and knocked on her door but no one answered. We then went to explore the forest west of Ossington again.

In the forest, we encountered a wild elf and successfully captured him. He claimed that his people was massacred by Ossington. They were killed during the parley to discuss Ossington's removal of too many animals from the forest. There are only 3 of them left. We told him we're here to help and he bought us to where his friends are. So, which of them are actually telling the truth?

Chapter 18

After the heated battle with the fire elemental creature, we descended down a spiral staircase into a round room with a sarcophagus and two large human statues. When we approached the sarcophagus, a beam of light shot down from the ceiling of the chamber and hit the sarcophagus. Then, the lid flew open and a skeleton ascended and smiled at Faeron. It also brought the two large human statues back to life and they started attacking us.

During the battle, the skeleton gave advises like "always be ready" to Faeron as if he was testing us. The battle lasted a while before he stopped and sat on his tomb to introduce about himself. He said that he was happy to meet Faeron and Ryotine again. His name is Saithnar and he was Faeron's master. Saithnar said that Miastar, Ryotine's master sent his soul back to his body momentarily to speak with Faeron and Ryotine to ensure that they had a clear idea about the past events that happened here.

About a hundred years ago, the standing stones was a gathering place for a group of druids and rangers known as "The Green Watchers" and Miastar was the leader of the organization. The Green Watchers was visited by a group of sorcerers from Ark Drakus led by Marcus V'Tonar. They asked for several of the ancient magical stones but they were denied. As a result, a battle broke off between the sorcerers and The Green Watchers. Faeron and Ryotine were sent off to ask for help from the Monastery of the Singing Winds.

Shortly after they left, a great red dragon called Ashardalon attacked the sorcerers and The Green Watchers. The Green Watchers battled the dragon and they were joined by a silver and gold dragon. Unfortunately, the entire members of The Green Watchers died in Ashardalon's attack. Saithnar too fell in this battle after seeing Miastar dealt the final blow to the dragon. The sorcerers stole several of the standing stones during this battle.

Saithnar also explained that the spell to create humans were created by Miastar in hope that the people will learn the druidic ways but sadly, the spell was misused by others recently. Who could have casted the spell since only druids know to cast it. After that, Saithnar offered his old armor and weapon to Faeron. About time Faeron finally owns a magical weapon! Saithnar then returns into the sarcophagus and a beam of light bought him back to heaven. We then returned to Ossington to rest.

In the morning, we went to visit the Red Horse Hill. We found a murky pond at the base of the hill. When we approached the hill, the horseman suddenly appeared at the edge of the pond and stared at us. This time, we decided not to attack and moved away. The horseman rode across the surface of the water and when he reached the middle of the pond, he sank into it without creating any ripples. Before he sank entirely into the pond, he gave us a salute which Rohan explained later that it was a salute used by the Zaradins.

After trying several approaches to reach the bottom of the pond, I got impatient and jumped into the pond. I swam towards the spot where the horseman sank and dived towards the bottom and found the skeleton of a human and a warhorse. The skull of the skeleton is missing though. We buried the body and the warhorse beside the pond. The horseman reappeared and saluted us again. We then went back and told Dyson about this. He doesn't know anything about the headless horseman though. We think that the villagers killed him and he came back as a vengeful spirit to haunt the villagers.

Chapter 17

The next morning, we went to visit Dyson for any useful information regarding the elves and horseman. During our way to his tower, we passed three stones in the center of the village carved with an unknown language. Ryotine was the only one who could read it. She decided to stay behind to analyze the meaning of the carvings while we continued to visit Dyson.

After chatting with Dyson, it seems that he too doesn't know the reason behind these attacks. He then gave us a look of the map surrounding Ossington. That's the most he could do for us. At least we have some idea where to look for now. We discussed briefly and chose to visit the silence keepers first as it is the closest to Ossington. Ryotine reunited with us shortly and told us about the carvings. It's a spell that transform small animals to human. Is that the reason why there are no animals around Ossington? Are all the villagers a creation of the spell?!

Anyway, the Silence Keepers was a boring place. It has five standing stones with a flat round stone fallen in between. After Faeron and Ryotine touched the stone, they seemed to remembered something. We then proceeded to the great barrow. At the great barrow's west entrance, we found a Druidic carvings which reads, "Miastar and Saithnar, the last defenders." This great barrow must be a tomb for them. We entered it and found a secret door which leads deeper into the barrow.

We found ourselves in a series of circular passageways. Through some thinking and courage, we were able to pass a few traps with minimal damage and finally encountered an earth elemental creature followed by an air elemental creature. At one point we got separated by a trap door, only me and Rohan passed the trap door. We continued walking to look for a way to undo the trap. After a while, we undid the trap and regrouped with the rest. As we reach closer to the end of the circular passageways, the temperature gradually increased. At the end of the passageways, we found a room with fire elemental creature in it and a staircase that leads down. Just how big is this barrow?

Chapter 16

After squeezing through the crowd and with the help of a bard, Cuckoo, he brought us to meet Elder Murdow. We had a long conversation with Elder Murdow outside of his house. He told us about the tragedy that struck Ossington. It happened about three or four months ago when the horseman came to town. No one knew what he looks like as he never take off his helmet. What's worse is that after a while, the elves started attacking people from the village without any reason. When the previous mayor, Elder Meril led a group of villagers for a parley, they were massacred.

The villagers tried to ask for help but as soon as they leave the village, they were killed by the horseman. He said that the horseman was always lurking around the area to kill villagers that are attempting to leave. No one knew why the horseman were acting that way. It is believed that the horseman and the elves are working together. Elder Murdow asked for our help to defeat the elves and the horseman.

He offered us a house to stay in. It was an abandoned empty house at the corner of the street. As we untether our horses from the fence of his house. An arrow flew from the sky and hit Elder Murdow in the chest. Several birds and eagles appeared. The eagle grabbed Ryotine but luckily the fall didn't kill her. We killed the birds and eagles and noticed an elf running towards southeast. Faeron's arrow definitely hit him but the arrow flew through him instead. That made me realize, it was an illusion! We stopped chasing and went back to the spot where the elf was standing and checked for his tracks. We found a track leading southwest.

Tully, the swordman and Cuckoo came. We told them what happened and went chasing after the elf. On our way, we encountered the horseman again. After Faeron firing a warning shot, the horseman charged at us. The horseman was a total mystery. No physical attacks seems to hit him and magical attacks don't quite affect him either. As his horse made a loud growl, I had goosebumps, my legs were frozen and my heart almost stopped beating. It slowly turned it's head and stared at me with it's death-like red eyes, I screamed and ran away as far as I could as if death was chasing after me... It took a while before I finally calmed down.

As I return to them, I saw Ryotine conjured a lightning spell and struck the horseman. Then, the horseman faded away... Did it die or did he evaded the attack? What is he and what's wrong with this town?

Chapter 15

An adventurer never stops venturing! That said, it was time to move on to another town. We marched together with the barbarians and monks who coincidentally were heading north as well. Before leaving Jolton, Uralis told us the tale of our monk here, Kim, about his early days at the monastery. It made me pondered on the question again. Who are we?  Are we perhaps, time travelers?

We split ways with the barbarians and monks at certain point and continue traveling again. It was a plain walk until we heard the scream of humans accompanied by a giant bird. We saw 3 travelers running toward us, with a giant bird on their tail. I couldn't bare the thought of an innocent person being killed and dashed toward the giant bird as quickly as I can. But the giant bird killed 1 of the traveler before I reach it. I tried to confront the giant bird alone while waiting for my team mates...

The dead traveler was called Harry. Harry and his friends followed us to Giant's Blade and they buried Harry there. Disturbed by the thought of my inability to save someone, I feel that I'm not strong enough...   After that tragic event, we rested at the inn there before moving on.

The next morning, we continued our journey towards Ossington. The road to Ossington is quiet and empty. There wasn't any animals along the road. At midday, we encountered several peasants being beheaded by a horseman. Kim tried to catch him but the horseman slipped past him like a ghost going through the wall. Triggered by our curiosity, we jumped off our horses and investigate what happened. Faeron talked to a donkey of the dead peasants but found out nothing...

We continue moving north and reached a farmstead belonged to Tarbee and his daughter Tanasha. Tarbee doesn't like it when we mentioned the horseman. Whenever Tanasha tries to explain to us he'll tell us to mind our own business. She suggested us to meet Elder Murdows at Ossington as could shed some light on this horseman that we were talking about. We stayed there for a night before moving on.

The next day we reached a chapel. A woman was inside the chapel and she was praying to the 9 Elder Gods of Dekkara. She doesn't speak much other than topics related to Gods. We left the chapel and continue towards Ossington.

Upon entering Ossington, the villagers crowded around us and begged for food. By us I actually mean everyone except me and Quanta. Why did they exclude me and Quanta?... And what happened to Ossington. Were it always like that?

Chapter 14

We circled through the lizardfolk forces and attacked the kobold leader. It was an easy battle. After that we went back to Jolton. The villagers were celebrating happily but we were just too tired to join the feast. We rushed to the inn and immediately fell asleep.

The next day, we were free to wondered around the town. Quanta was helping us to identify items while Rohan went out to make a custom shield of PahBeeBee. After that, we went to see the mayor and was awarded 900 gp and a mithral shirt. I took the mithral shirt and we agreed to return the money for them to rebuild Jolton.

The amount of gold that disappeared right in front of my eyes... Sigh. At least I got a magical shirt! Now where should we explore next?

Chapter 13

It was a long and hellish battle with the panther. The panther seems to be immune to magical attacks. No, it was worse. Magical attacks seems to heal it instead! This world is a lot scarier then I think it is. What sort of disastrous monsters will we be fighting in the future?

We finally reached Jolton's defensive lines at midnight and explained the strategy to Ekam. It took a while for us to remember which direction the kobolds are gathered at. That fight with the panther really wore us out...

Chapter 12

We tried several method to open the chest and nothing worked. After a while, I realized that the chest's lock can still be turned slightly when the chest is opened. So I closed the chest and turned the golden key anti clockwise.. twice! *Clicks* It opened and the helmet with red gem can be seen now. Damn, I'm smart!

Realizing that we had explored each and every possible routes beside the passage under the well, we went to the room with the well and climbed into it. The passage is small, just barely enough to fit Rohan. At the end, we found ourselves in a room with 3 lizardfolk statues. Each missing a piece of item. One of it had no shield, one had no warhammer and one had no helmet. We put the items with red gem that we collected on the statues. It set off an ancient voice in draconic.

A doorway open behind the statues and lead to a room with a tomb. In the tomb, we found old scrolls containing information about the lizardfolk priest Ssh'rik. And so, the quest ends here. We returned to the surface and Ssz'razz healed us and arranged 2 lizardfolk rangers to follow us to tell the lizardfolk army in Jolton to cease the attack on Jolton. That took quite some time. I hope Jolton is still fine...

Without delay, we entered the forest to return to Jolton. We met 2 lizardfolk patrols on our way. The 2 lizardfolk rangers explained to them of what happened and the lizardfolk patrols took us to meet Lhanz, the person in charge of the attack and also, Ssz'razz's wife. Lhanz agreed to retreat from the southeast while the kobolds gather at the northeast.

What's left now is to convince Jolton's defensive lines to avoid slaying lizardfolks and gather their troops at the northeast. As we ventured through the forest, we ran into 2 kobolds and an eerie looking panther.

Chapter 11

After regrouping with Faeron and Ryotine, we continued our journey into the Ziggurat. We found a small passage at the bottom of the well, a room with minotaur and a room with a bone construct which looks like a long spine.

Although everyone already had this idea that the minotaur will come to life when it's warhammer with red gem is being taken away, Rohan, the reckless cleric ignored us and grabbed it away from the minotaur and the statue started to crack and out comes a real living minotaur. Fortunately the minotaur isn't as strong as it looks.

Then, we entered the room with bone construct and killed it. My weapons can't do much damage on it though. At the end of the room, we found a chest with a glass pane. Through the glass pane, we can see a helmet with a red gem in it. However, we opened the chest with the golden key that we found earlier and it was empty inside... Upon closing the chest, we saw the helmet with a red gem through the glass pane once again. Such mysterious chest!

Chapter 10

We re-entered the Ziggurat at the crack of dawn together with Ssz'razz. Ryotine and Faeron were forced to stay behind for a while to take care of their companions. Upon entering the path behind the mural, we discovered countless of passages that leads to different places. We explored them individually.

After that, we found ourselves in a tiny circular room. We battled some spirit-like-beings and chased them into another room with 3 alligator skeletons on the floor. Quanta gave us a very hard time killing the monsters in the room when his fire balls resurrected the alligators. It was a tough battle but we managed to pull it off.

The alligators were nothing like the monsters we encountered so far. This is the first time I felt so close to death. If it wasn't the voice in my head telling me to run. I'd have been dead. My team mates may think badly of me for fleeing the battle but that was the only thing I could think of at that moment...

Chapter 9

After killing the 3 kobolds and 3 lizardfolks at the dragon head room. Faeron finally came down through the elevator. We heard someone talking across the room in front of us. Me and Faeron entered the room to find a group of kobolds talking with a group of lizardfolks. They mentioned something about "Holy Place" and "Ally". Faeron, getting impatient, fired an arrow to the heavily armored lizardfolk. The kobolds and lizardfolks noticed our presence and turned on us.

We engaged in combat and took out most of the kobolds and lizardfolks. Then, drake started acting strange and started attacking Ryotine. Fortunately, drake was knocked out by a fireball spell rather than our own hands. Ryotine would definitely kill us if we tried to hit drake. The fireball spell injured Ryotine and Kim badly. Luckily, Rohan found him hiding at the shadow of a pillar and killed it. Now, only the heavily armored lizardfolk remains.

Rohan's glowing heavy mace illuminated the end of the room which happens to be a stone mural. The stone mural is a drawing of a battle between metallic dragons and chromatic dragons with lizardfolks on the metallic dragons' side and kobolds on the chromatic dragons' side. From that stone mural, I realize that we were killing the wrong monsters. Lizardfolks are on the good side since they fight together with the metallic dragons. I apologized to the heavily armored lizardfolk and dropped my weapon. I tried to convince him to stop fighting. Faeron told him we were just protecting ourselves and it seemed to have calmed him down a little bit.

His name is Ssz'razz, he is the leader of the lizardfolks. He also just found out that kobolds were their ancient enemy. He then proceeded to the mural to search for something. I found a switch disguised as a dragon eye and pushed it. It opened a passageway deeper into the Ziggurat. We decided that we should take some rest before investigating what the passageway leads to. Ssz'razz agreed and we went upstairs. When we reach upstairs, a bunch of lizardfolks already marched here. Ssz'razz had to explain to his people so that they don't attack us. We then went somewhere else to sleep so that no conflicts will break out.

Chapter 8

"Yaawwnnn". After some decent rest at the south of the Ziggurat, it is time to explore the hidden staircase inside the Ziggurat! We re-enter the Ziggurat and noticed that the carcass of the lizardfolks were moved. I somehow had this strange idea that the dead lizardfolks were going to be used as sacrifices for a ritualistic purpose... Oh well, maybe I was just thinking too much. We continued to walk towards the western Ziggurat, we found few lizardfolks on top of the Ziggurat. Me and Faeron dealt tons of damage on the lizardfolks before the others reach the lizardfolks. In the end, the lizardfolks died before they could do anything. Heh, I feel strong!

When we reach the top of the western Ziggurat, we found more lizardfolks carcass were aligned neatly at the corner. We ignored the carcasses and went in the Ziggurat and went down through the hidden staircase. A kobold carcass was found in the middle of the room at the end of the stairs. Its body was pierced through with blade-like objects. A pedestal is located in the middle of the room beside the dead kobold. Faeron dashed to inspect the dead kobold and activated a blade trap on the ground which injured him badly. "What a hasty guy...". I crouch down and disabled the trap.

It seemed that the pedestal is a switch that moves an elevator. After a very long discussion, Faeron was chosen to stay in the room to push the switch just in case we couldn't go back up. The elevator brought us to the base of the Ziggurat. There were 3 kobolds and 3 lizardfolks in that room and there was 2 very obvious trap in the middle of the room. The traps are in the form of 2 stone dragons which their heads are facing each other. We also found a very familiar pedestal in front of us. It's the same pedestal as the one in the room Faeron was in. So, we pushed the pedestal to let the elevator goes up and told Faeron to join us.

Chapter 7

As soon as we got close to the ziggurat, that old fool Quanta started fapping in front of us.... Me and Faeron quickly ran away from him. We saw two monitor lizards and two lizards while wondering around the ziggurat. More lizards appeared on the eastern ziggurat after we killed the two lizards and two monitor lizards. We climbed the ziggurat and killed them. We found two entrance and there was a dark orb on the roof of the ziggurat. Rohan went in the ziggurat and walked upstairs to break the dark orb. The dark orb shattered in pieces and we collected them hoping that it could be sold for money.

Then, we went to the western ziggurat and saw a lens contraption. We could clearly see Jolton through the lens contraption. That confirms it, this must be the source of the light beam. So, Rohan took out his mace and smashed the lens contraption. When we continue climbing the western ziggurat, we bumped into more lizards. After killing them, we finally reached the top of the western ziggurat. Just like the eastern ziggurat, there was a dark orb on the roof of the ziggurat. This one only has one entrance which leads to the roof. Again, we did the same thing by smashing the dark orb and collecting it.

I went in the entrance and found a switch. When I pressed it, the floor collapsed to form a staircase which leads down into darkness. The others complained that they were tired so we went south of the ziggurat to take some rest in the forest before exploring what awaits us at the end of the staircase.

Chapter 6

While we were wandering around the town, an old woman called out to Kim. The woman seemed pale and shocked by the fact that Kim, Ryotine and Faeron is alive. She said that the last time she saw Kim, Ryotine and Faeron were hundred years ago. She was surprised that those three looked exactly the same as they were hundred years ago. After a while, we noticed that the houses near the well was on fire. We rushed there and saw what caused the fire. It was a light beam from a far away mountain. It must have been some short of long range magic. Then, two light balls appeared from the fire and we started attacking it. Not long later, Evet, the magician shop owner in Jolton rushed out and stopped us. He explained that the light balls are not evil as they're light elemental creatures. Just as we were told, we stopped attacking it and it disappeared.

We decided that we should investigate the source of the light beam before Jolton gets burned down. A shady merchant approached us to sell us some flasks with green liquid in it. He said that the green liquid is an insect repellent that would be useful when we encounter swarms of insects in the jungle. Rohan sensed that he was lying so we rejected the merchant's offer. We bought some torches and alchemist fire from a merchant then Jinna gave Rohan a cure light wounds wand before we left Jolton.

As we head towards the source of the light beam. We entered a jungle. It was harder to travel in the jungle compared to forest as the thick undergrowth slowed down our movement and the trees were tall and huge which made it difficult for us to confirm whether we were moving towards the correct direction or not. We encountered an assassin vine but we changed our path slightly to avoid battling it. We set a camp fire and rested as the sun sets.

On the second day in the jungle, we met a swarm of locust. We attacked them head on with our weapons. Needless to say, we couldn't hit it and we were injured badly. It took us a while before we realize that they were weak to fire. So we used our torches and alchemist fires to burn them. After that, we continued moving towards the source of the light beam. We rested again in the jungle when the sky turned dark.

The next day, we were ambushed by a group of lizardfolk. We slaughtered them and we finally reached the source of the light beam. We saw a huge ziggurat across a bridge. We suspect that the light beam came from the top of the ziggurat. However, there were kobolds near the bridge and lizards at the other side of the bridge. We were afraid that the lizards who are guarding the bridge might disconnect the bridge if they saw us. So, we decided that me and Rohan will stealthily cross the bridge to kill the lizards then the rest of the party will come out of the jungle to kill the kobolds.

When I went near the bridge, I noticed that the bridge is extremely unsteady. Luckily I was able to cross it without falling. Then, I think Rohan slipped or something and fell off the bridge because I heard a loud splashing sound. One of the lizard went near the edge of the cliff to see what dropped into the river. I quickly sneak behind it and pushed it down to the river and quickly killed another lizard before it does anything. The rest of the party then came out to attack the kobolds. I told them Rohan fell of the bridge and Ryotine casted entangle to prevent Rohan from getting swept away by the river. After that, Faeron jumped into the river to save Rohan. However, Faeron couldn't move him because he was too heavy. Faeron tied a rope on his arrow and shot it up the cliff so that I can use the rope to pull them up. We successfully crossed the bridge. Now, to the source of the light beam!

Chapter 5

We decided to split into two teams. Quanta, Kim and Rohan will be disguising themselves and enter Jolton to look up for clues while Faeron, Ryotine and I will be waiting for their return. The three of us went to a nearby farmstead and met a farmer who had just traveled back from Jolton. He had an energetic horse in his farm. Faeron wanted to buy the horse but obviously the horse was not for sale. When we left the farmstead, we could see a figure bending over and checking something on the ground. We thought it was weird and quickly ran to that place where the figure was at. By that time, the figure was already gone. Faeron tried to track it but he failed.

From there, we proceeded to another farmstead. Faeron knocked the door and a woman's voice could be heard. She was shouting to her husband to open the door. An old farmer opened the door and greeted us. His name is Steven, he seemed like a cheerful person. Faeron asked him about the figure and Steven said it might be the ranger from Jolton. After that, we bought some tomatoes from him went to the agreed place to wait for Quanta, Kim and Rohan. We roasted tomatoes while waiting for them. I'd prefer to eat it raw though....

Later on ,we met Quanta and Kim and they updated us about what they knew. However, Rohan is not with them. What is he planning to do alone? Urghh... At least we now know who the ranger that Steven mentioned is. His name is Cleon and he was sent to track us down. The rest of the party then somehow agreed to meet him. What the drok? Shouldn't we be running away from him? After that. they chose me and Faeron to do the negotiation with Cleon. Not the best idea as I was so confused about the plan. We knew that Cleon was told by the mayor to head south so we waited for him at south. Ryotine, Quanta and Kim hid themselves somewhere behind us while me and Faeron waited for him.

After a while, we can finally see Cleon approaching our sight. Before I could start throwing all the nonsenses that I thought of to persuade him to join us, Faeron shouted "Cleon", powerfully and clearly. Drok! Cleon immediately pulled out his bow and questioned us, "how do you know my name?" There goes our plan... I tried to bluff my way out but Cleon didn't buy it and ran away. Faeron looked frustrated and tried to shoot him. Luckily he missed it. Ryotine reacted immediately by casting her entangle spell but it failed to catch him. We quickly gave chase hoping that we could catch him before he reaches Jolton. Kim, with his superhuman speed caught up with him easily and stunned Cleon with his powerful blows. Cleon surrendered and Ryotine healed him. He agreed to cooperate with us to track down another set of tracks which Faeron failed to do so in the beginning.

So, the other set of tracks were headed southeast. We followed it and reached an old abandoned cottage. The cottage looked suspicious as hell! My gut is telling me that something will happen if we walk up to the house nonchalantly. But before I could check for any traps, Faeron walked towards it and triggered a sort of alarm. Immediately, kobolds jumped out of the bushes behind us. It's weird that they didn't try to prevent us from entering the shady cottage when they'd go as far as to set an alarm for this cottage... I quickly alerted others not to go near the cottage. While we were slaying kobolds, Kim went too close to the cottage and triggered a trap. A javelin was fired out of nowhere and hit Kim. Now that's why the kobolds didn't want to go near it...

After we killed the kobolds, Ryotine went into the cottage only to find that the ceiling collapsed on her and arrows was shot from the left and right side of the hallway. It's surprising that she's alive! There were three rooms in this cottage. We opened it one by one starting from the left. The first one had nothing in it. The second had a locked chest. But it wasn't difficult to pick lock it. We screamed in joys when we saw the content of the chest. There're around 1000 golds in it! The third room, we found an unconscious lady with her hands tied on her back. We woke her up and she told us that her name is Reen and her husband, Seamus is a farmer. She told us that she got attacked in her house and was brought here. Anyways, the ropes were tied in a very unique way. The only way to undo the ropes was to cut it. But why all the traps and ropes when she's just an ordinary girl... I asked the team whether it is safe to cut it off but they did it before I finish asking. Well, nothing seemed to happen. Time to leave I guess. Me, Quanta and Faeron went out from the cottage while Ryotine and Reen were still inside.

When we came out of the cottage, we could see Rohan approaching us, "Rohan!" we shouted. But he ignored us and went straight into the cottage with a barbarian. A barbarian? Did Elyl Shona and Sollek found out that we're innocent? We had no idea what was going on. We just stood there hoping that Rohan would clear up our confusion. But nope, he went into the cottage and told the barbarian, "get the girl, she might be the one". "What girl?", the barbarian replied. What? There were 2 girls inside the cottage and the barbarian couldn't see anyone? Then, Drake started barking at the door and we heard footsteps around us even though none of us were walking. Suddenly, Kim was stabbed by a dagger and a smoke mist was formed in front of him. It was Reen!  We tried to finish her before she could escape.

The mist finally faded and we realize that Reen was a shapeshifter. In addition, my dagger would start humming whenever it is bought close to the shapeshifter's dagger. I told Ryotine to hold the shapeshifter's dagger and kept some distance with me so that my dagger wouldn't make any noise. The barbarian proceeded to grab the girl and we headed back to Jolton. On the other hand, Cleon and Faeron took a detour to follow another set of footsteps. On our way back to Jolton, Rohan explained to us about what he encountered in Jolton. After that, we waited for Faeron and Cleon's return. They didn't return with good news though. They saw a group of kobolds gathering in a cave and Cleon suspects that they might be preparing for a war. We were then dismissed. I took the shapeshifter's dagger and brought it closely to my dagger. What followed was a loud explosion and the shapeshifter's dagger disintegrated.

Finally, we were proven innocent! We still don't know why the shapeshifter poisoned the well though. Not to mention a war is coming soon.... Urgh, why can't things end happily?

Chapter 4

We met Jolton's mayor, Elyl Shona, who was apparently a female halfing just like Ryotine. She was with Ekam, the guard who told us to meet the mayor and Sister Serka from the Monastery of Singing Wind. They were discussing about the attack of kobolds. Ekam said that a third party might be involved since the guards who were guarding the gates were stabbed in the back by a dagger and kobolds don't use daggers. The mayor said that they should form an alliance with the barbarians from the north to strengthen their defense and she asked for our help to gather information regarding this "dagger user".

After that, we went out the hall to explore Jolton. Rohan said he wasn't feeling well and went to Pahpeebee's temple while Ryotine wandered around the village alone. Faeron, Quanta and I went to an armory to sell off our loots. We continued to gather information regarding the "dagger user". However, since daggers are a common tool for living. We had no clue how to proceed with the investigation.

While everyone was scattered in Jolton, I walked around in the town square alone. Then, I noticed something wasn't right. My dagger's sheath feels empty... As I move my hand towards the dagger's sheath on my belt, it's gone! I panicked and immediately climb up a house and scan through the villagers in the town square. "No one is holding my dagger! Drok, how did this happen?" Faeron approached me and helped me to locate this dagger thief. I have a bad feeling on what's going to happen. The guards were stabbed by dagger and now my dagger is missing! Someone is definitely trying to put the blame on me!

Meanwhile, Jolton's harvest festival is starting soon. The mayor is giving a speech and everyone was gathered in the town square. I stayed on the roof of a house to see if there is anyone suspicious in the crowd. I have a feeling someone is going to kill the mayor with my dagger. After a while, I saw a hooded person leaving the crowd. That's suspicious! All the villagers are heading towards the town square while he's the only one leaving. I quickly told Faeron and we followed him. He went to the town's well and dropped some chemical into it. "This must be the dagger thief!". Faeron immediately gave chase to the hooded person while I told Quanta who was nearby to identify the water in the well. After awhile, he told me it's poisoned. We quickly dashed to the mayor and told him about this. The mayor looks shocked and told Ekam to follow us to pursue the hooded person.

The last thing I saw before telling the mayor the well was poisoned was Faeron, Ryotine, Kim and Rohan running towards the Sheriff office's direction. So, I told Quanta and Ekam to go there as well. However, no one could be seen in that direction. Then, Ekam walked towards the abandoned house opposite of the Sheriff office and opened the door. To our surprise, we saw a hooded dead body with MY dagger stabbed on her back. Ekam identified the body and said she was the negotiator of the barbarians from the north. The rest of the guards as well as the barbarians came in and was aghast by what they saw. The leader of the barbarians, Sollek started yelling and demanded an explanation but that damned fool - Kim went up to him and said "Calm your tits man". What the drok? As a result, Sollek swings his huge great axe angrily on Kim and almost killed Kim... I whispered to the others, "Are we going to give our selves in or do we run now?". Although I wanted to escape and prove my innocence, the rest of the party wanted to surrender. Darn! Since I can't accomplish much on my own... I followed their actions and stood there for Ekan to arrests us. We were then locked in a prison cell.

The others seemed quite cool about it though. Especially Quanta, he starts to trance and ignore the rest of us. Then Rohan, he casted a mist spell for no reason. Not long after, a lady with blue glowing eyes peeked into the cell. "They don't seem evil" said the lady. Ekam then opened the prison cell and interrogated us. He knew that we're innocent but Sollek demands justice and wants me executed... He said he couldn't help us with just that little information... He then proceeded to lock us back in our cells.

When night arrived, some of us were awakened by a whisper outside the prison cell. The lady who we met just now was outside. She goes by the name of Lady Jinna. She said if we don't leave now, I'll be executed tomorrow. She believed that we're innocent and unlocked the prison cell with a key that she attained from the sleeping guard. I quickly woke the others up. Before we leave, she told us to make this incident looks as if we broke out of it. So, Quanta corroded the lock with his acid spell. We took back our belongings and thanked Lady Jinna and left the prison silently.

At first, I wanted to climb over the wall of Jolton to escape but the walls are too high. Ryotine said we should escape from the front door and Faeron said we need a distraction to confuse the guards. Rohan then went to set a fire on the nearby houses. Drok! He could have killed someone with that fire! But what done is done, we quickly run towards the gate of Jolton. As expected, the door was locked. I told them to open the door but someone said opening the door might awaken the villagers. So, me and Ryotine jumped off the walls beside the gate to escape. Ouch! That hurts... After that, we realize Quanta is too old to jump and Ryotine's dog refused to jump as well. Faeron then opened the door and the rest just walked out of it. Opening the door didn't make much noise... We should have just opened the door in the first place. Before we start running towards south, Rohan shouted "fire! fire!", hoping that the villagers would wake up before anyone got hurt by the fire.

Not long after, Jolton sent some guards on horse to chase after us. We went into a forest and successful lost them. Now, how should I clear my name?...

Chapter 3

As requested by the man in the house, we helped him to defeat the tomato golem in his basement. It wasn't an easy task though, Quanta nearly got killed and Ryotine's dog was severely injured. When the golem died, Ryotine and Faeron grabbed the small golem pieces scattered on the ground and munched 'em. They looked like uncivilized people who have not eaten for days. Speaking of eating.... We had not eat anything since yesterday... Fortunately the man's wife came back and after Faeron did some explaination, she thanked us and invited us for dinner. She also gave us some potions which Ryotine used to save her dog. After the team had dinner and some rest, we continued our journey to Jolton.

Upon reaching the gates of Jolton, we saw some guards fighting with a group of creatures. At second glance, we could tell those creatures are kobolds. Without much thinking I took out my light crossbow and fired at the kobold's leader. However, the arrow missed completely and the kobolds noticed us. We took out our weapons and got ready for battle. As we slaughtered our way to the gates, the guards told us to investigate what's causing the gates to malfunction. Rohan and I went to check out the left mechanism room while Quanta and Faeron went for the right mechanism room. Apparently, a stone were clogging the door's mechanism. We took it out and one of the gates functioned properly. Faeron and Quanta did the same in the right mechanism room and the door was able to close now.

After that, the guards thanked us for helping and one of the guard approached Faeron. The guard explained what happened and told us to look for the mayor in Jolton's hall. So, we proceeded to enter the town. We stopped by the nearest inn to settle down before going to the hall. Once we were in front of the hall, we could see three circular rings stuck on the ground and every now and then, lightning bolts could be seen passing through the rings.

In the hall, there was a large painting of a person on the wall. The person in the painting had an eye patch on his left eye. The description of the painting stated that the person in the painting is the mayor of the town and the initial "R" was written on the description. It was also followed by a poem about dragons. I couldn't understand the poem though... It's too deep for someone like me to understand. Then, I realized that the person in the painting looks similiar to Rohan! They both have eye patch on their left eye and the initial "R"; Rohan's name starts with "R" as well! Rohan looked confused and showed us his dragon tattoo on his arm. What the drok? Dragon tattoo and poem about dragons. Were they somehow connected?.... Rohan, who exactly are you?

Chapter 2

As we were walking towards west. The ranger asked for our names. So, we started introducing ourselves. Seems like everyone only remembered their names and nothing more regarding their backgrounds. Regardless, at least we know what to call each other now. Faeron, the ranger seems to be a good leader. He has the characteristics to be one it seems. I'm sure everyone agrees as well since we always let Faeron did the talking and decision making.

During our journey to Jolton, the town located at west. We went into a forest and stumbled upon yet another fight with some creatures. This time it's a group of kobolds. Faeron seems to understand their language though. He tried to ask the kobold shaman questions but I guess he didn't get much information out of it. We tried to give chase to the fleeing kobold shaman but we failed miserably. So we went back and picked up the loots. Among the loots there's a magicial sling that was glowing in blue. My instinct told me that it must have something to do with the blue gems embedded on our weapons. Hence, I told Ryotine, the halfing, which uses a sling to put her sling and the magical sling close together. And boooom! The magical sling shattered to pieces and disappeared. After that, they tried to appraise Ryotine's weapon. It seems that the magical sling's has transferred its magical power to Ryotine's sling.

As the sky turned dark, we knew it's impossible to continue our journey. So, we set up a campfire and they went to sleep while Quanta and I meditate  We took turns to be the sentinel though. After a few hours, a zombie came and Ryotine's dog and Quanta's cat came to finish off the zombie.

We continued our journey when the sun rise and finally we went out of the forest. Then, we approached a house with this beautiful maple tree in front of it. There was a weird smell though... Suddenly, a pink human-like figured appeared. The creature was droking disgusting! It had maggots everywhere on its body! After we killed the monster, we knew something wasn't right with this house. We quickly entered and we split into 2 groups.

Me, Ryotine and Kim went upstairs while the others investigate the dining room. I could sense something terrifying was up there. It felt like I was swallowed in a black void; it was terrifying. Kim, unable to comprehend that feeling broke out in fear and dashed into the toilet. What a man!.. We can then see a tiny creature tearing some paper sheets apart beside the bed. We attacked it but it flew away. Ryotine's cute face was scratched by it though... The rest of the party then came upstairs. The guy who were lying on his bed with tomato all over his shirt requested us to kill a tomato golem at his basement. Well he said he'll give us something in return so I guess it's worth trying..... Tomato golem, you're going down!

Chapter 1

Amnesia, monster and explosion.

"Who am I, why am I here?", I questioned myself as I try to stand up. Damn, my head was throbbing. What happened? What in the world was I doing? Amidst all the confusing thoughts, something sparkly caught my attention; there was a dagger beside me. It looked like a normal dagger except the handle of the dagger were embedded with a blue gem. Out of curiosity, I bit the gem to check if it's real. Good gods, it's real! Does it worth a lot of gold? Still, this dagger felt so familiar. Was it mine? Nevertheless, I kept the dagger with me.

As I checked my surroundings, I noticed that I wasn't alone. There were 5 people around me. Everyone seemed as puzzled as I was. I quickly approached the elf nearest to me to ask if he knew what happened. He didn't give me a proper answer and went back to investigate his crossbow. Weird enough, his crossbow is embedded with a blue gem too... All of a sudden, the half-elf ranger seemed terrified and drew out his bow. I unconsciously reacted by doing the same.

After I took a deep breath, it seemed clear to me now why he and the naked human monk felt so terrified. I mean, how can I not notice?! We were in a crater filled with undead creatures and skeletons! The skeleton bones behind me started arranging itself and stood up. It even started to attack me. I tried to take him down with my dagger but it was unavailing. My stabs and slices were too weak to break the bones. While all of this were happening that good-for-nothing human cleric started scolding the cute halfing. What in the world? There is a time for everything and now is definitely not the time for that! Speaking of which, how dare he insults such a lovely girl!

After a few rounds of exchanging hits, the human cleric started chanting something with his fist held high. All I could heard was "Pahbeebee" was repeated few times in the chant. Suddenly, the monsters started backing off. Finally, the human cleric is doing something useful! That gave us opportunity to deal some ranged damage to the monsters. While we were busy trying to take them down, more and more monsters started "waking up". We can now see that this is hopeless, the number of monsters kept on increasing. So our best choice of solution was to run away from the crater.

During our desperate attempt to escape, wizards in red cloak and blue cape appeared out of nowhere! They saved us by killing all the monsters with flashy spells. Wow, so that's what a mage can do. Unlike the elf mage we have here... Apparently, they were here to investigate an explosion that created this crater. They also told us the nearest town is located to the west. We thanked the wizards and left the crater.

A town huh? I hope I can discover something about myself there...
